I am preparing to convert the VBB into the phpBB (free software) since our license for the VBB is set to expire soon.
One glitch I've discovered in my tests so far is the passwords seem to get mangled, rendering people unable to log into the boards. You can, of course, reset your password but it does require your email address to be valid, so please ensure that your email addy in your VBB profile is still valid.
I don't know 100% exactly when the conversion will happen, but stay tuned for more developments as they happen. |
